After three years since their last release "THE HARVEST FLOOR", California's very
own CATTLE DECAPITATION is back. CATTLE DECAPITATION is one band you
cannot forget, either it's just their name or once you've heard their music or seen them live.
I have been a huge fan of these guys for years and with each new release the band has
grown & progressed into one of the most impressive Death Metal bands in the scene.
These guys have risen the bar with each new release and you can see so many other bands
in the scene striving to be at the level these guys are. The have a very Technical Death
Metal sound that does incorporate many Grindcore influences into their sound. The song
structures are so well planned out that they take you from a massive chaotic passage and
then stops for a very short bit and then slams you right back into another massive wall of
Deathgrind. The vocals of Travis Ryan really help solidify the bands sound. He will start
with a mid ranged thick Death growl style and then smack you with a harsh Death scream
right into a low gurgle Grind style and then into another Grindcore scream. I know when I
was a vocalist in a band I wanted to do exactly what he is doing here. CATTLE
DECAPITATION is by far one of the leaders in today Death Metal scene and will forever
have left their mark on the genre. One of the best bands out there doing it better than most.
