GUILTY BY ASSOCIATION is a killer Punk Rock band from Las Vegas, Nevada. These
guys have been tearing up the Punk scene the early 2000's. This new double album "SELF
TITLED" release is actually a re-issue of their 2008 album "DETOX" and their 2010
release "AMERICAN DECAY". These guys play a cool blend of old school and new
school Punk Rock music. They toss in some Hardcore elements as well into their sound.
There is a really cool groove that runs through out a lot of their songs. The old school
influences are more faster and more aggressive sounding and have a '80's Punk / Hardcore
feel to them. I kept thinking I was back in the '80's skateboarding and listening to killer
Punk while skating my half pipe. The newer Punk elements are when they have a more
chant along and bouncy feel to the music. I am a big Punk Rock fan and prefer the old
school over the new, but that's what I grew up on. GUILTY BY ASSOCIATION is an
amazing Punk / Hardcore band that will get all kinds of fans of this genre wanting to get up
and slam in the pit as well as start doing the pogo. If you were to blend together THE
EXPLOITED, CIRCLE JERKS, DEAD KENNEDYS, MINOR THREAT, SICK OF
IT ALL, with GUTTERMOUTH, THE VANDALS, THE CASUALTIES, H20 &
DEATH BY STEREO you would end up with GUILTY BY ASSOCIATION. I love
every band I mentioned above so you know I was loving GUILTY BY ASSOCIATION.
All I have to say is buy this album, because they are one of the best Punk bands to emerge
out of the 2000 era! Oi! Oi! Oi!
