For those of you who are in to extreme Metal genre I am sure you heard about this
legendary band from Canada called NECRONOMICON. You my be familiar with the
name Necronomicon if your read horror themed books by H.P. Lovecraft. This Death
Metal band started in 1988 and almost 30 years later they are still a power house in the
extreme music scene. The brutality started with their first release in 1992 and then through
six albums later still maintaining that same level of intensity. In March of 2016 they
released their latest and greatest album to date "ADVENT OF THE HUMAN GOD" out
on the mighty SEASON OF MIST label. This record is a nonstop descent into madness
with the intro called "Descent" which is a mesmerizing start to the CD then that's follows
by ten more tracks of face melting Death Metal. There is a reason why this band has been
around for a long time. This album also includes a compelling cover of a CELTIC
FROST song " Innocence And Wrath" The last track called "Alchemy Of The Avatar "
will leave you craving for more. They are a Death Metal band with Black Metal influence
which features insane blast beats with double bass and you get sucked in with the raw
power of the brutal riffs along with catchy hooks to finish you off. In the veins of
DIMMU BORGIR, BEHEMOTH and IMMORTAL.
