"HACKED TO PERFECTION" is the debut release from this Florida based Death Metal
band. NEVER TO ARISE is a two piece Death Metal act that consists of Gordon Denhart
doing guitars and vocals & Michael Kilborn playing bass guitar and lead guitar. These guys
play old school brutal Death Metal in the Florida style. They remind me of a lot of the
bands from the late 80's and early 90's out of Florida. There is a real rawness to their sound
that is a bit gritty and crusty at times. In fact, I think I could hear bits and pieces of some
Grind or Crust influences peaking out at times. NEVER TO ARISE takes us back to the
early days of Death Metal and you would actually think this release came out in the early
90's after one listen. This is a good thing, not bad. They are not a throwback band, but just
seem they came out a decade later. I was there at the beginning days of Death Metal and bet
these guys were too and that's why they are playing this style. NEVER TO ARISE could
stand tall next greats like OBITUARY, DISINCARNATE, CARNIVORE & CANNIBAL
CORPSE!!!
