"ESOTERIC SYMBOLISM"

Based out of Melbourne, Australia comes TERAMAZE with their fourth album release to
date. The band plays a Progressive style of Metal music with some other Metal genres
mixed within. They build off their Progressive Metal foundation with elements of Power
Metal, Thrash Metal and some Traditional Metal elements as well. The music is well
constructed and very heavily involved, but not in a way that the listener gets lost. They
have a very crunchy Thrash Metal guitar driven sound. The guitars reminded me of a
Thrash Metal version of DRAGONFORCE, but without all the showy guitar solos. The
guitar work also reminded me of a heavier version of Steve Vai mixed with Yngwie
Malmsteen. They also have a melodic sound that is inter mixed through out their sound.
The vocalist Brett Rerekura are done in melodic, yet Epic Power Metal style with some
mid ranged Traditional Metal vocals mixed in. TERAMAZE is an amazing Progressive
Metal band that would pull in fans of SYMPHONY X, DREAM THEATER, CIRCUS
MAXIMUS, PAGAN'S MIND & ANGRA. If you are into the majority of the bands on
SENSORY RECORDS label then you will love TERAMAZE! You will not want to miss
