"ERROR" is the third full length release from Belgium's own EMPTINESS. The band
features members of the great ENTHRONED. EMPTINESS play some cold harsh Black
/ Death Metal styled music. They mix in some Noise elements all through out. They have
an old school Black Metal type style that takes me back to the early days when Black
Metal was just emerging from the dark corners in Europe. The music is very gritty, cold
and harsh and has a very raw vibe to it. Some influences of Sludge or Doom Metal can be
heard, especially in the slower more drawn out parts. In the faster more aggressive parts
the music has a raw war like sound that was popular in a lot of the early 90's Black Metal
bands from Europe. EMPTINESS reminded me of a lot of the killer bands that were on
NECROPOLIS RECORDS or WORLD WAR III RECORDS back in the 90's as well.
If you dig bands like DETERIOROT, DISSECTION & NIDEN 187 then EMPTINESS
is a band that will fit in your collection perfectly!!!
