ENABLER is a Wisconsin based Metal / Hardcore Crossover band with many powerful
musicians in the scene. The band contains members of such bands as TRAP THEM, THE
DAMNED THINGS, EARTH CRISIS, FALLOUT BOY, SHAI HALUD, MISERY
SIGNALS & TODAY IS THE DAY. These are some really big bands in the extreme
underground scene and their combined talents and influences have made ENABLER a
force to be reckoned with. They have a really raw old school style that takes you back to
the early days of Hardcore / Metal Crossover bands. It reminds me of a lot of bands like
SICK OF IT ALL, BLACK FLAG, MINOR THREAT & CRO-MAGS, but with a lot
faster and more aggressive sounds. I grew up on many bands playing this style so I was
really digging these guys. The do have some influences of SHAI HALUD, TRAP THEM
& MISERY SIGNALS mixed within, which is to be expected a little since these guys
played in those bands. There is a dirtiness that covers a lot of the band sound as well,
which comes close to what you would find in Crustcore music. This is an incredible band
that I hope to hear more from in the future!
