"A TIME OF CRISIS"
METAL ON METAL RECORDS
Some of you old school Metal heads out there may remember HERETIC from back in the
day. These guys hail from Los Angeles, California and play Power/Thrash Metal music.
These guys formed back in 1985 and broke up in the early 90's. They are back with original
singer Julian Mendez on vocals. They have a very cool classic Power Thrash Metal sound
that was very popular back in those days. I never heard these guys before, but I do remember
the name and logo from back then. I was becoming a big Thrash Metal fan right around
when they broke up. Their other singer Mike Howe went on to join the great METAL
CHURCH, which I was heavily into. With two original members in the band and some
other great musicians who were in bands like UNCLE SLAM, HIRAX, REVEREND,
STEEL VENGEANCE, BITCH & more have created one hell of a line up. These guys
sound fresher than ever and this new release is far beyond anything they did in the past.
This could be from so many years experience of playing in different bands. This is the
Power / Thrash Metal I will always love. I'm glad to see many bands like HERETIC that
were cut short before their time reemerging and put out some quality records. Hopefully,
this time around this killer band will last and hopefully put out many more amazing albums
like "A TIME OF CRISIS"! Thrash Til' Death!!!
