MORTAL INFINITY is a Modern Thrash Metal band out of Germany. The band formed
back in 2008 and "DISTRICT DESTRUCTION" is their second release and first full
length. These guys have a very strong foundation in American Thrash Metal with some
mixtures of 80's styled German Thrash Metal thrown in. There are certain parts where you
can hear some Death Metal influences coming into play as well. They are some really good
grooved out Thrash parts that drive the bands sound. I can hear some elements of
TESTAMENT, SLAYER, SACRED REICH, early MEGADETH, DESTRUCTION &
KREATOR within the bands style. The vocals are done in a Crossover style of Thrash
mixed with Death Metal. There are harsh Thrash / Death growls / screams and some clean
melodic Thrash vocals as well. MORTAL INFINITY is a very good Modern Thrash band
that would surely be able to hang with any of the above Thrash Metal legends!
