Originally formed in 1988 under the name TERMINATION and then later turned into
THANATOPSIS then the band split up. After many years of performing in other bands
original drummer and guitarist joined forces to bring NOCTURNAL TORMENT back
from the dead. After one listen you can tell the band has heavy influences in the old
school Death Metal genre. They do play old school brutal Death metal from the early
days of the genre, but they also mix in some Black Metal & Thrash Metal influences as
well. The Black Metal elements are more present in the rawness of the bands sound as
well as the darkness of the sound. The Thrash Metal comes into play mostly in some of
the guitar arrangements and riffs. They have a crunchy Thrash Metal vibe to them. The
vocals round the band sound out with mid ranged Death growls. If you like you Death
