Screaming out of Ontario, Canada back in 2006 comes the powerful Metal act known as
ODIUM. These guys were a little unknown band a few years back, but with two releases
and a strong following, these guys have become very well known. These guys have honed
their skills and with their new release "BURNING THE BRIDGES TO NOWHERE" they
are here prove themselves and deserve much respect and attention. Their sound kind of
covers a lot of ground in the Metal genre. They have a very melodic and Progressive Metal
sound which is the foundation of the band. They build off that with some Thrash / Speed
Metal and Death Metal influences. There is a very Epic vibe to their music as well. Very
well thought out, structured and intense songs. These guys have definitely mastered their
instruments and sound. If you were to take bands like KILLSWITCH ENGAGE,
SOILWORK, IN FLAMES, DARKEST HOUR & TOOL and blend them all together,
then the end result would be ODIUM. These guys have really out done themselves since
their last release "AT THE BOTTOM". That release help gain them new fans, but this one
will gain them much, much more legions of fans! One of the most amazing releases I have
heard all year! Truly a masterpiece from start to finish! This is highly recommended!
