"AWAKEN THE REASON" is the third release from France's Progressive Metal act
OUTCAST. These guys have been kicking around the scene for awhile now and keep
honing their style with each new release. They base their foundation in the Death Metal
genre, but they add in so much more. They have a very technical and Progressive sound
that runs through out all their songs. The music also has a very wide range of places their
songs take you. There are lots of Mathcore type arrangements in the songs as well. The
vocal styles vary as well through out. Sometimes they lean towards a Death Metal growl
and other times, they lean towards a Hardcore type scream. If you were to combine the
best parts of DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN, MESHUGGAH, BETWEEN THE
BURIED AND ME, IN FLAMES & DREAM THEATER you'd get some what of an
idea what these guys are like. One of the finest Mathcore bands in the scene today!
