"AN AXE TO GRIND"

POWER THEORY is based out of my old hometown of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
These guys have a very Classic Heavy Metal sound. They blend together elements of
Traditional Heavy Metal, Power Metal and New Wave Of British Heavy Metal styles
together to create their sound. The music is well thought out and well constructed. I grew
up on these styles of Metal so I was really digging everything about this band. I would
have definitely thought they were from England by just listening to them. You can tell
theses guys have really mastered their instruments and are very talented musicians. The
music itself reminded me of bands like JUDAS PRIEST, IRON MAIDEN & ACCEPT
a lot, while the vocals were a blend of ACCEPT & W.A.S.P. I think that Metal heads that
grew up on this music will love these guys as they have a really modern sound, but pull in
all those great elements from bands of the late 70's and early 80's playing this style.
POWER THEORY would have been a huge hit and toured the world on the same level as
all these above bands. In fact, as I am writing this review they are on tour with ACCEPT!
