GREYHAZE RECORDS has re-issued the second album from SARCOFAGO on vinyl
which was originally released in 1989. The band originally started Brazil in 1985 and ran
until 2000. SARCOFAGO plays a mix of Black / Death Metal music with some touches
of Thrash Metal. The majority of their sound is based in Death Metal and has that old
school European Death Metal feel to it. The cold and harsh darkness that blankets their
sound is where the Black Metal influences come into play. The Thrash Metal elements are
mostly in the shred heavy guitar riffing as well as some of the vocals. The vocals have the
same crossover of styles as the music itself. They will go from throaty understandable
Thrash into thicker growling like Death and then have some slightly higher more
screeching type Black Metal vocals. These guys scream everything that Black & Death
Metal started out as being. They are harsh, dark, gritty, blasphemous and
Anti-Christianity and pouring out the anger and evil. This is a must for fans of
BATHORY, BLACK WITCHERY, MANIAC BUTCHER, NUN SLAUGHTER,
MYSTIFIER, VENOM, HELLHAMMER & POSSESSED!
