"DARK REIGN" is the first full length album from SCARLET ANGER out of
Luxembourg. SCARLET ANGER formed back in 2007 and have put out few E.P.'s. These
guys play a killer old school style of Thrash Metal music. It keeps hinting back to the late
80's Thrash Metal sound that was coming out of Germany with bands like KREATOR,
DESTRUCTION & a mix of Canadian Thrash Metal greats ANNIHILATOR & ANVIL.
There is a fast paced grooved out Thrash sound that runs through a lot of their songs. The
vocals style of Joe Block is a mix of low ended harsh Thrash screams mixed with more
melodic clean Speed Metal vocals. Thrash Metal is my favorite style of Metal and what I
grew up listening too and SCARLET ANGER takes me back to those days. These guys
could have been in the same circle as the bands mentioned above, as well as
WRATHCHILD AMERICA, FAITH OR FEAR, TESTAMENT & EXODUS back in
the day. Another amazing Thrash Metal band that needs much attention and should
definitely be in every Thrash collection and play as often as possible!!!
