SILENT KINGDOM originally started out as a side project from Bosnia by Sead &
Amir. After releasing a few demos and the band gaining some recognition and success
they turned it into a full band. The band plays melodic Death Metal music with a
Progressive Metal vibe. The music reminded me of a mix of MESHUGGAH, without all
the off beat timings and CHILDREN OF BODOM, mixed with some NEVERMORE &
DREAM THEATER. This is because of all the strong song passages and the fact that
they don't sound like a typical Death Metal band. This band has a lot of strong qualities,
that shows they have mastered their crafts. There is even some almost Black Metal
influences in their sound as well. This is mostly present in the melodic and atmospheric
keyboards. There is such a strong presence in their sound of Progressive Death Metal
which I feel makes them stand out a lot. It's almost as if the old school has melted
perfectly with the new technical and Progressive Metal. SILENT KINGDOM is an
amazing band that should not be over looked. These guys are much more advanced as
musicians than a lot of the bands out there now!
