"AWAKENING IN THE CEMETERY GRAVE" is the newest release from this killer Death
Metal band from Spain. These guys have been around since 2006 and I believe is currently
on hold. This newest release is actually a compilation of all the bands previous releases. It
includes the "UNCONSECRATED CEMETERY" (2006) demo, "DARK AWAKENING"
(2007) demo & the "SLAVE TO THE GRAVE" (2010) EP, all remastered. After one listen,
UNCONSECRATED took me back to the early days of the Death Metal scene, when only
true underground fans new who most of the great Death Metal bands were. These guys play
old school Finnish & Swedish Death Metal mixed with some slight touches of American
Death Metal from the early nineties. There is fast paced blasts galore mixed with thick
grooved out Death beats. The guitars are done in a more mid ranged loud, aggressive and
spastic style. The vocals are done in a mid ranged thick Death growl style with some slightly
higher Death screams mixed in. If you were a fan of the early Death Metal scene and great
bands like DISMEMBER, ENTOMBED, CARNAGE, NECROPHOBIC, DISGRACE,
UNLEASHED, DESULTORY, INVERTED & early THERION, then your gonna love
UNCONSECRATED. Let's hope this crushing band doesn't stay on hold for too long,
because I would love to hear some new music from this amazing Death Metal band!!!
